When I play a CD (stock, non-bose, no changer, no navigation) I'm hearing a constant beep in the background. Tried different CD's, engine on, off. This seems to be recent, unless I never noticed it before. It's faint, in the background, and doesn't increase or decrease in volume when you use the volume control. This happened last night was I was playing with my cross-overs, etc. I turned the start switch to the accessory mode a few times without starting the car.

I have the stock HU connected to JL amps for the fronts and subwoofer. The backs are not being used, but the rear output is connected to the sub. Beeps in the front speakers, doesn't beep through the subwoofer, doesn't beep when playing the radio. Suggestions?

 

could be a few things, I have the bose system so ruling out the stupidest thing first make sure that it's not the stupid beep you get when you hit the volume buttons. Passed that, it could be a bad connection, like a connection's not full on and the flow of the sound is spiking and creating a little feedback. check the wires, then check them again, then move to another spot and check'em one more time.

 

I have the exact same problem - beeping noise on CD's (also additional probelm with volume control under another post). I am on my third player replaced under warranty - same problem!!!
