"ROTORHED" Mini in Ottawa

I saw a Mini Cooper S with the license ROTORHED on Riverside in Ottawa yesterday.

What could it possibly mean? Why would a "rotor-head" drive a Mini? Is it a rotary fan with an unfortunate phobia about RWD? Someone who bought the wrong trendy car by mistake? Unfortunately he turned off and I didn't get a chance to ask.

Maybe his/her OTHER car is a rotary powered one? There haven't been many options for the past what 10 years if you wanted to buy a NEW car with 4 seats AND a rotary engine.

Then the plates are on the wrong car. Besides, that Mini's gotta be new (or almost). Wouldn't a true ROTORHED have held out for the RX-8? Like I did (and I'm not really a rotorhed).

Oh well, I'll have to let it go for now. Maybe I'll pull up within shouting distance of that car someday. I'll go back to worrying about horsepower and floor mat clips.
