Clear Corner Bulbs

I am a little confused as to the difference between the amber bulbs that usually come with the clear corners and the stealth bulbs you can buy to replace them. Are the regular bulbs going to make the clear corners amber when not lit? Does anyone have a picture of the difference? Thanks!

The stock bulbs are just regular bulbs. They will glow white. The thing that makes them yellow is the amber corners. So, if you want your clear corners to glow amber, then you need the stealth bulbs.

At least... that's what I have been told.

I have clear corners and yes, you will need the stealth bulbs. The bulbs are silver, which makes them look like there isnt anything in your corners and when your lights are on they light up amber. go to autolumination.com thats where I got all of my bulbs for my car. Led's and the stealth bulbs.

But what about normal amber bulbs. Won't those show up amber when lit? And will they look clear when not lit?

That is just a clear bulb, it appears amber when lit because its behind the amber corner, other than that its just a normal white light.

this conversation is getting very confusing

bulbs that come with your amber corners = white / burn white/clear
bulbs that ship with some sets of clear corners = amber colored / burn amber OR clear colored / burn white
stealth bulbs [also ship with some CC's] = appear chrome colored / burn amber

Maybe I wrote that wrong. I am looking to buy clear corners that come with amber bulbs. I am wondering what they are going to look like with amber bulbs when not lit. I'm assuming they come with amber bulbs so that it still lights up amber through the clear plastic, but is it going to ruin the clear corner effect during the day?

corners are just corners .. you need bulbs for it

stock = white, on = white
you can buy orange - no point cause you can see them through your corners which makes clear no more
you can buy stealth = corners still clear , on = orange

Well then it might be worthwhile. It would be even better if the strippers were getting into the RX-8's!

The stock bulb is not white when lit, its more of a hideous blend of white and yellow.

If you want a white bulb, you need to buy a high quality after market hyper white bulb.

we have the 8 with the largest turbo'd renesis [that we know of] in the states

though it is only a mild street pre-tune with low boost and rev cut, it is still pretty interesting to see a huge *** turbo under the hood of the 8
