Are my stock tires done?

I'm thinking they are, but just wanted some other opinions because I'd like to hold off buying new tires until mid-summer. Would it be dangerous to ride on these? I included a pic of new tread for comparison.

EDIT: Actually, looking at the pic of the new RE040, it appears that they changed the tread pattern.

If we tell you they are safe, and you wreck your car you will be mighty pissed at us. The tire has wear bars, are they even with the tread? If yes get rid of them. You can also try the penny trick. If you can see the top of Lincoln's head dump the tires. The third option is to get a tread wear gauge for a few bucks; 2/8" (EDIT: 2/32") is when tires are worn.

Just don't drive when it rains and you can get a few more months out of them. Looks like they wore relatively evenly.

How does the car feel?

Naw, I fully understand the risks involved when driving on worn tires. I won't have anyone but myself to blame if I lose traction and crash. The tire tread in the center is slightly higher than the wear bars in most places; however, there are a couple of regions where they're about even.

It feels "okay" on dry surfaces. Maybe a bit harsh and noisy, but handling seems to be acceptable. It definitely doesn't have the grip it had when the tires were newer. However, in rain it's a different story. If I keep these tires I will have to be extremely careful in wet conditions. It's much easier to kick out the back end and it hydroplanes more easily.

you need new tires, and it's the same pattern that's just how they look when worn down

I use to run them down to the wear bars until I wrapped an FD3 around a tree, don't learn the hard way like me

A wise man once told me... you have a choice... spend money on tires... or spend money fixing the damage to your car....

Roughly 20k. For the past 2 winters I've swapped them out with some snow tires, and I haven't been good about recording the mileage on both sets.

Thanks for all of the advice guys. I'll probably buy new tires and get it over with.
