Well, it looks great man. How'd you paint the calipers? I'm sure you did it, but where did you go to lift it?

Titanium Strakes from RX9 Strakes:
http://www.rx8strakes.com/
WHaaaaaa...I never knew about these, finally...at a reasonable price!!!!

Thanks for the link...and by the way, your RX8 is looking pretty dang good!

I actually found the standard hologen lights to be pretty white, so I'm actually switched my concentration to the little bolbs in the inner corner. I'm getting LED's for them which are ALOT whiter and last basically forever (so the seller tells us). Also, they will come with LED corner lights.

I'm not getting into major mods at this time but with your link I'm going to get those soon I hope.

Well, I had led's on and they went out that is why I had to replace them. I didn't like the leds for the turn signals, they are very hard to see, it is kinda unsafe... Look it up on the forum and you'll see. I went with polarg superwhites and they color matches pretty good to the headlights. I got my leds from autolumination.com, had some problems and finally the leds went out. It is a pain to change that inner bulb on the passenger side, so make sure that you get some good bulbs...

What is the actual quality of those strakes? What material are they made from?

Thanks for the heads up, hopefully these are much better than the ones you tried. Let me know what you think...

I got them at the autoparts store but home depot carries them as well.

Wannahave:

The problem with using leds as turn signals is that they don't hit the reflectors at all. Therefore you can't even see your turn signals. I went with the silver bulbs for this reason.
