New pics of Galaxy Grey
Snapped on Pentax *ist DS and Sigma SD10 - first week anniversary, but the first time I have had a day when I could wash and polish the car.
This one was shot on the SD10

The titanium is not dark enough. I wish it was more like the Dodge Ram dark gray. This is darker, but it would still be better if it was even more dark.

I think titanium grey is better. Sometime the titanium looks almost like liquid metal. I think maybe the metallic flakes are lighter and finer and reflect more light, which produces almost a pearl effect under the sun. I think sunlight silver has the same effect but with a lighter underlying color, of course. I think Galaxy Grey has more dark flakes, which produces a thicker, heavier look that doesn't reflect as much light. See how the second pic looks heavy like pencil lead? It will look even heavier in person. I believe the old BMW 3-series and the old Lexus IS had similar dark, heavy greys (even darker than Galaxy Grey). I also believe the thinking behind car companies is that the heavier grey is suited for a more mature, conservative looking car.
In my opinion, I wouldn't worry so much about making a car look more mature; I would focus on making the paint finish look richer but NOT heavier. Heavier does not equate to richer. The reason I don't like Galaxy Grey that much is because it looks heavier but not richer.

When I first saw your pics I said "Hey it looks like the English country side," then I saw where you're located at.
Looks good. Do you see many RX-8s out your way?

How's the weather over there in CANADA?!
*grin*
Don't see many, but I knew a few people who have them. They seem to appeal to IT geeks and programmers, so inevitably, I know a couple of owners.
There's a winning blue one I've spotted going about. That's about it locally.
