I drove past a dealer down my way and noticed this little jobbie parked out front.

To the best of my knowledge (I bloody well searched..... ), these are the first Phantom Blue RX-8 pics posted on the forum.....enjoy .

That's my Winning Blue RX-8 on the road in the background.....just for comparison.

Mods, I know this thread should live in the Photo Gallery, but I wanted my Aussie brothers (and sisters!!) to see them first. We can move it in 24 hours....

I'd describe it as subdued. It's a classy colour, whereas the Winning Blue is a lairy colour.

It's a colour that will appeal to older buyers, I reckon. I can't see buyers being torn between this blue, and Velocity Red.

i hope MA didnt bring this colour in to "replace" the Nordic Green (which we thought it'd appeal to older buyers too...)

I suppose they did, actually. This colour has a lot more appeal than the Nordic Green though.

agreed....
i'd pick this colour instead of the NG if i have no other choices...

im hanging to see what Copper Red would look like in real life/real pix.....
i have seen a copper red mx5 at a servo on a sunny day a couple of weeks ago (i think it was copper red....) and from what i can see, it looked nothing like my royal jaffa under the sun..... but it may be close on a cloudy day

I saw a Copper Red RX-8 Revelation in full sunshine at the dealers the other day when I took the Mazda 6 MPS for a spin. That colour is to the Velocity Red what this Phantom is to the Winning Blue........less lairy, more classy.

This reminds me a lot of the Mutant Blue that was the X-Men car.

Very nice, like this color more than the original WB color. Will have to stop by a dealership and take a look once summer comes. No point looking if you can't drive it.
