Mazfix Turbo'd RX-8

stolen from Ausrotary....

Just been for a drive in archies Rx8. Standard everything apart from a turbo obviously. With 6 pound boost it has an extra 100hp over standard engine! Power from 2700 rpm right thru to 9000 rpm. He is still testing but hopefully will have a turbo kit available very shortly for rx8's. Only got the car running properly this week and still very early results. It was very smooth to drive and couldn't notice any difference putting around until you put the boot in! Very impressed!!
Cheers, Col

Hmmm, would it be ironic if someone copied a... copy?

294 rwHP was the last I heard.

Cheers,
Hymee.

are you saying that ciao copied someone's setup?
how many different type of turbo setup/config can you think of? (bar the size of turbo, intercooler etc..)

Steady guys - intellectual property theft can result in both civil and criminal penalties. Let's not start on all that in here.

Would'nt it be more ironic to tell the public you had a item for sale ...and then take two years to complete it ......

My kit is unique ,however I didn't try to reinvent the wheel

I thought the peace was nice while it lasted ..........On with the **** contest Ole chaps

Ciao

Dave

Thread cleaned up and opened again.

Identity crisis thread split off to a seperate topic for those who choose to participate.

I didn't make any accusations. I put a rhetorical question based upon somewhat public knowledge that Ciao first purchased a Greddy turbo kit, then made his own.

Cheers,
Hymee.

It is not so much a kit, rather more of a workshop installation. The workshop is not active on this forum.

Cheers,
Hymee.

all turbo kits are a variation on one theme so the copy argument is irrelevant in my book.

from these forums it is clear that the greddy kit is reliable and can make good gains. so if you ask me a new turbo kit needs to bring something more to the table. either cheaper at the same job or have a better engine management.
