I think the consensus around here is that FLP=UGLY...even if it is JDM.

**** I just looked at the price. Besides the fact that it's butt ugly, who in their right mind would pay FIFTY DOLLARS for a flattened peice of metal with some green paint???

Exactly, save your money man and use that $50 for gas and oil.

Unfortunitly we peeps up here in B.C. Canada have to have a front plate by law. I drove my 8 for about one and a half months with out one before I received my $105 ticket.

Thats how it is in a lot of US states too, but most of us just take the risk and go without one anyway.

Yeah, you need one in Maryland too, but I'd just assume take the risk than to put the plate on the front. The fine isn't quite as steep as it is in B.C.

Anyway, I'm not sure what's worse: Having just a JDM plate on the front of your import, or putting the JDM plate under the real plate -- which is what I see on a lot of VW's around here for some reason.

Don't suppose there's any plain silver metal plates out there that just have "RX-8 " stamped on it? I see a lot of BMWs running around with such plates on the front that just say "BMW" on them.

I live in Missouri and the law here states you have to have a front license plate. I hate this stupid law! I would go without one, but I can't get any more tickets or I'll lose my drivers license.
