check from the Optionfans magazine Tat's a RE RX8 4AT Turbine Kit For our auto

8.One thing very funny is Only can gain 20 HP wif the kit coz our

original Auto 8 already can produced 210HP?izzit really can gain 20 Hp if put in

the kit?Or i c wrongly that auto can fix turbo?Any auto 8 owner wif turbo kit now?

The Turbo will give you alot more than 20 hp gain... unless it's a turbo sticker from "Zhng your ride".

 

HEHHE...yohji.... RE-Amemiya does have a turbo kit for AT. The gain is calculated base on HP on wheel not at engine.... Normally Auto will have 160 HP on wheel.... So the gain is more than u think....

always tot that auto is 210HP?wahlau...160HP is really low ler.

 

It's not because it wasnt show... it's just we cant read japs...... Manual average got 187hp on wheel.... One of my friend's auto 8 dyno n oni get 140hp.... maybe the dyno wasnt dun properly..

 

Most of the time, the BHP stated by manufacturers are based on the point before the transmission. AT tramission will have more HP lost than MT. Claims that AT can lose up to 17% HP, but I not sure the exact amount.

I not sure which turbo u read about. I seen 1 ad that says, "Supercharge your RX8!! Gain 35hp and 31% more mileage". So I click and read.... about this "Supercharger". It turns out to be a cyclone looking kinda thingy. Hahaha........ I think the company name is Turbonator. I never believe in such products. :P

 

I just noticed that on pg 52 of the HyperREV, abt the turbo 4AT yellow RE RX-8, it says something like 240ps...

 

The cover of the current issue of HotStuff mag featured a yellow RX-8, supposedly supercharged. Anyone read it yet? Keen to supercharge my AT car... kekekeke!

Read that Hymee is coming with a bolt on TC for the RX-8 at the AT Specific Mods Forum....

 

from the Hymee Post it seems as though the development of his SC has been put on hold. the kit for the 6mt is not even being sold yet.
the blitz SC kit has one specific for the 4AT, wonder if any of the bros have installed it, or know how much improvement it will bring

 

the blitz's kit is roots type,improvements is more on the torque curve s compare to hp...

 

There is a guy on the forum over here in the states that Greddy turboed his A/T--from what folks said he was getting 0-60 times consistently in the low 6 second range--with out the box tuning.

Haha....The Hymee SC thread is really damn many pages i read from the

1st page until the end but too bad it still pending.I tot the manual SC will be out

if he really done everything.Hope that it also build for auto 8 ...cheersss

 

I enquired with a shop that sells the Greddy Turbo Kit in the USA. Below is his reply....

We have sold the kit for the automatic version of the RX-8... We never herd
back from the customer with any issues. I do not know if he had to modify
the kit at all or not... We do ship internationally... Let me know if you
have any further questions or would like to order. Thanks!

there shldn be any problem since this turbo is a bolt on kit. so long as u dun screw up the tuning, i dun c any real problem. If fujita engineering n re amemiya is using them and serving them well, seriously, there really shldnt be any problem.

 

Was afraid the AT trans cannot take the power.

 

dun do too much full throt on ur 1st or 2nd,ur torque converter shld last

which brand turbo kit suit for our auto 8 in the market now?except RE-Amemiya.....

 

If you want the best, get RE-Amemiya, thats my choice too

 

Some guy in the main forum got 200+ WHP on stock trans. Another person said its good till about 300hp as its the old transmission from the FD. Not sure whether true or not. But increase of 50 whp is not hell of alot. Abusing a trans at whatever power is more damaging than a well-maintained trans thats well maintained.
