What are my options?

Jack stands would be better than bricks. You could also plan this around a vacation or some other time you don't need the car.

I have a Yellow with Black powder coated rims and have been very happy with them & the look. https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...98&postcount=2
The only thing I would bring up to the shop is that they don’t expose the rims to big temperature shocks during the baking process.
