Good service dealership in BA?
Good service dealership in BA?
I just read a post about Oak Tree mazda with good and bad comments. I am going to take my car for oil change, some brake-related service and the dreadful
overheating TSB (it is 2004). So I was wondering if anybody knows some good dealership around with good service department.
I will share my piece of experience. I have been to Magnussen's Mazda (somehow it cannot be found from mazda.com as of now, it used to) in Newark (Auto Mall) and I have mixed experience about it. The sales department sucks big time. The service department seemed to be ok. I took the car for Guide point installation and after I got it back I have some rattles from my driver's door and somewhere under the steering wheel. Other than that the work was done nicely. However, when I took the car for a reflash, I was told that it was already done but there is no sticker under the hood
. They did print out the history of work done on my car. So I have mixed feeling about this dealership.
Anybody else care to share the experience with service departments around Bay Area?

When I had my RX-7's I used all of them at different times except Magnussen's and Menlo. I liked Putnam and Val Strough (now Mazda of Oakland, sort of).
When I went to get the 8, I chose Putnum, mainly because Val Strough wasn't anymore and didn't want to trust Mazda of Oakland without any experience. I have been happy with Putnum so far.
When I took my 2nd gen in to Oak Tree because someone tore off the drivers side view mirror (a U-Haul drove to close to it on Ashby), it took them about a month before they got the part.
