Greddy turbo kit Questions

Anyone know what the turbo, the T618Z, in the Greddy turbo kit is like? I mean, is it a good turbo quality wise? What are its specs in terms of output?

Also, the 50-60 hp gain the kit claims, is that at the wheels or at the engine?

The T618Z is pretty much the Mazda equavalent of the Greddy for Mitsubishi/Nissan 18G turbo. About as tried and true as you are going to get. The Mitsus had this as part of a Greddy turbo package (had smaller 16G, & larger 20G's too). The 18G for our application will run up to 400 hp at the engine, but the question is will the motor hold up. Nobody has pushed it that far yet. It is a good turbo, if a little long in tooth. It's not the most modern turbo, & the other turbo kits will have the T04E/T4 turbos which byby all accounts is a better turbo, with more upside but the kits will be way more $$$. Personally as long as I get to a 275-300 whp everyday driveable car that is all I'm looking for, so this kit made tremendous sense to me.

The 60+ hp is to the WHEELS. Proven by several dynos on this board, in RX Tuner magazine, & also for myself. Translates to roughly about 68-70 hp at the engine.
