Tire bulge

While cleaning my tires, I noticed a bulge or blister on my right front stock 040.

This ever happen to anyone else?

Poking through the web for info, it seems everyone recommends replacing any tires with blisters or bulges ASAP. Would you agree?

I cleaned the tires a few weeks ago, and didn't notice it then... I don't think I coulda missed it. I'm guessing I nailed a pothole recently then, though I don't remember hitting anything all THAT bad. Is that the likely cause of this sorta thing?

I did buy the extra coverage for tires/wheels when I bought the car, so I'm guessing it'll be covered at least.

P.S. The macro shots make it look more obvious than it really is... I actually noticed it by feel, not sight.

yes you have to replace it before it blows out

either you hit something; pothole, object in the rode, etc. or it's a defective tire

Replace it. It will get worse with time. If it doesn't blowout, it will swell up and give you a crappy ride.

Thanks guys. Will do ASAP!

Not having much luck with tires lately... just lost a Pirelli SnowSport to a screw a few months ago, and now an 040 to acne...
