Mine is Rhawb. Not sure when I'm going to be able to get back online though, I'm stuck at home without a router or a long enough ethernet cord. I might try and get online tonight or tomorrow with our crappy tv just to check up on my friends list.

If you only have an XBox and love racing, then get this game - it's worth every penny. However, if you've got a PS2 and XBox, I say rent both GT4 and Forza first. I prefer GT4 very much to Forza, but Forza is still easily the second best racing game on the market.
As for waiting for the XBox2, I say go ahead and buy it now. XBox2 will surely have its own version of this game with better graphics, gameplay, etc. but won't be out until at least Fall/Winter this year (at the very earliest). Unless you feel like waiting for a really long time, I'm sure you'll be pretty happy with this version.

Oh, and if you don't already have an XBox, wait to buy one until after E3 (starts May 16th and lasts a week). I'm pretty sure they're going to lower the price of the XBox in preparation for the release of the new system and we should also know for sure whether or not the XBox2 is going to be backward compatible at that point.

My friend picked this up last night...HOLY CRAP, this game is unreal. It blows GT4 away. Just the telemetry replay alone is baddass. Add to that the dynamic racing line that shows you how to run the course at the optiumum speed and line. The line actually adjusts, so if you break early or late, it changes color to indicate when you can speed up/slow down...and then there are the tuning mods. The game is very realistic. I ran RA with an RX-8 and just like in real life, the car corners like it should because of its 50/50 weight distribution. I own a PS2 which I NEVER play and I am thinking about buying an Xbox just for this game

Yeah, you can have clubs and I intend to join the RX8 Club when I get back online (and if it doesn't exist yet, I'll start it). If you bought Forza (at least in the US) you should have gotten 2 months of Live for free, that's what I'm using. Too bad I can't get my xbox online while I'm back home here...I guess I won't be racing you guys until Friday or so.

yeah, I have the two months free, a few of those cards actually. I just don't have a router, so I have to unplug my computer to plug in xbox. I'm pretty lazy so that hasn't happend.
I am working on my 8 right now though, well the look of it anyhow. It's not nearly done, still needs lots of stickers and I have been trying to get the mazda emblem on there in a nifty way. Should be a good looking race car! I am going for the cole trickle, days of thunder superflo look.

Well, I picked up the wheel today for the hell of it. I was at the mall which is a hour away for me so i don't get there often, saw it at Gamespot and went ahead. I haven't even hooked it up but it looks and feels nice. i willl give a review later.

Well, the wheel is hookedup but my son got ahold of it and I can't get near the damn thing. I mounted it to a table as suggested and it appears solid. I think this will enhance the game immensely vs steering with the controller. Should for the price, what the hell only money. Certainly spent alot more on my 8

the game is great, definitely better or on par with GT4, plus you get the online option.
It's pretty easy to pickup, and their helper line is such a great innovation.
I've been racing with it on until I know the tracks enough.
I got an rx8 with all the upgrades( except swapping engine for a 3 rotor one) and I think I am at 460hp :D or more, kinda unrealistic but still really fun.
At that level of power the car is hard to handle. They even have a rotary event with 3 or 4 tracks.
Definitely a gem to keep if you like racing simulator, if you are more into arcady racing don't play this one you'll get frustrated.
