Ok, I just picked up this game and am loving it, although I have not gone online yet. I've started a career and have about 6 or 7 cars now but don't have the RX-8. Do I need to use a car from the career to race online? ANyways, i'm going to see if I can get online and register the I'll look for you guys.

 

Well isn't that great, I don't have a network cable. Go figure, an IT Guy without a network cable!! Unbelievable, looks like I'll have to try this tomorrow night.

Hey man, that was some pretty intense racing last night! Next time try using a mic so I can talk trash lol.. Plus, I couldnt say goodbye cause you didnt have your mic so I felt bad leaving like that. But anyways, good race.. your car is fast!

That was good racing! Good to see you online, still getting used to using the "Live" part, kept seeing this icon show up and didn't know what it was, then figured out it was an invite from you, lol. My RX-7 is pretty quick but it handles like crap, tough to keep it on the road, I've been trying to tune the suspension to get the handling in check but I make it worse. Going to work on my RX-8 next, it should have better handling to begin with so that should help.

I didn't think I would need a mike, i'm used to PC gaming where you can chat via keyboard. Looks like I'll need to get one so that there is some communication at least on my part.

I went into the car club section and there is only one club that shows up, not sure if it's from anyone on this board but I haven't joined it.

our car club is named 9RPM, there are at least a few thousand others though. I think Cas is the only one with invitation privelages.

Sorry 04MazdaRX8, I saw you in the room and wanted to race ya but I had to leave. I managed to stabalize my FD with a wing add-on, one crazy wing too, so it handles better now.

I think i'm going to pick up a Mic on the way home from work tonight, sucks to leave without saying anything.

Hey Frank, I didnt kick you out.. those d*cks in the room kicked you out. They were saying how you didnt race nice and that you were pretty aggressive.. So I started acting up in that room too and they all started blaming there crashes on me. I invited you back to the room and we raced a couple of races which I lost badly by the way. :D

 

I bought a Supra TT last night and modded it to death but I still need to tweak the gear ratios. Beware of the Supra TT of Doom! I want to see how my Supra hangs with your FD. Oh and the mic, thank god you are buying one. Its fun talking crap on there. I'll hopefully see you guys on tonight.

 

I've been running into tons of douchebags in the game lately. I've been kicked out of rooms for being too good. I've also been kicked out for using cars that "aren't competetive" (because they're the fastest in the class...I thought the purpose of a racing game was to be fast). Then, when I switch to a "competetive" car, they whine that I run them off the roads when I pass them. I'm not really sure what I'm expected to do when they aggressively block me while being incredibly slow around the course. I pretty much have to ram my way through in order to have a decent opening. Along the same lines, if I run into someone who is obviously faster, I'll give them the line so that I don't get run off the road as they attempt to pass. I never whine about people who are better than me, and honestly, the constant complaining is starting to diminish my enjoyment of the game a bit.

Alright, I'm done ranting. Anyway, if you guys ever invite me and I ignore your requests, don't take it personally - we've been designing a bunch of cars lately and I also have a bad habit of leaving my Xbox on when I'm not there. My mic is broken too, so I may or may not talk depending on whether or not I feel like holding the headset while I race.

I agree with your "douchebag" remarks regarding alot of the people in Xbox live. I've been kicked out of rooms because I raced the RX8 and didnt have an Enzo. But these dumbasses that have the Enzo dont know how to control them so when they end up on the dirt or grass.. I go and pass them. In a room full of 7 Enzos, I came in 3rd in one race and started talking sh*t afterwards.. needless to say they booted me lol..

 

Hahaha, yeah - I had some guys start asking me if I was sure I wanted to run my RX8 (C3, if I'm not mistaken) against their C1 cars. Started saying something about how I was going to get "totally owned." Funny how right after I won, I was informed that the host removed me from the lobby. I guess I did get "totally owned," after all.

 

i say from now on we just open our own room for the people on the forum, thats if theres more than 3 of us at the same time on xbox live. Im also pretty tired of these ******** using only exotic cars and only racing the oval track for the money. if you want to only race exotic cars wich almost everybody uses the enzo please go back to playing project gotham. The thing that makes this game cool is that you get to customise your own steet car and then race against other custom street cars. its not just to race exotics on an oval track so you can have 3 million in credits.

I've only been kicked out of one room so far, a weird one, there was an S Class race and there were 3 of 8 in the lobby, I showed up and one guy say's "Hey Hellbreed, See ya!!" and I was kicked. I had a good run of races last night with a group in a room that were going through all the different classes which was a nice change from the Enzo racing that is so popular.
