The seat belt's been getting me!

This is my first Oh S__t scream! I've been pampering the exterior like it was a religion and simply holding off on doing anything on the interior. Today while getting something out of the back seat with both right left doors open, the sun hit the seat and the side of the headrest looks like a barber's leather. The gloss is worn off and simply dull scraps now. I've been so careful NOT to allow the seat belt to snap against the door frame but never suspected this damage. I've searched for previous threads which I assumed would exist but didn't turn up anything. At this rate I can see that section of the headrest wearing out before the left seat bottom. Any fixes other than hand carrying the belt all the way? My Subaru had a plastic guide fixed the the side of the seat.

There is a TSB on this and don't worry, the side of my drivers side seat is all nicked up too. Although when I recently made an appointment for an oil cahnge, I mentioned this at the service desk, and of course, they knew nothing about it. I actually printed out the TSB and will present it to them when I take my car in this Saturday. I also printed out the TSB about the squeaky brakes, which they also claimed to know nothing about.

I only have 2 tiny knicks that I'm really not worrying about. I think just when my warranty is about to expire I will drop this on them.

My VIN is higher than on the TSB? In 5000 miles this is by far the worst damage to anything in or on the car. It isn't the plastic but the vinyl on the side of the headrest. I'm going to take some pics today and post. Whatever the TSB does it hasn't addressed what's happening to my seat.

I thought the TSB was for scratches on the plastic seat back - the part my kids kick when they're in the back seat. It sounds like you have wear on the leather/vinyl seating surface from the seat belt (not buckle) rubbing when you are belted in. I would think this would still be a warrenty repair, even if Mazda hasn't issued a TSB for it.
