Tein Basics with pics!!!

I just picked up my tein basic coilovers today and I plan to install them sometime this week. I'll have pictures of the coilovers tonight, once I get a camera. Hopefully the ride quality is not as harsh as some say they will be. Ill keep an update for you guys.

So my friends and I couldnt wait to install the coilovers so we did it. The install process took around 3 hrs, couldve been less but we were slacking off. I have to say that the suspension is really soft. I had doubts about the suspension but after the installation, I would say that the coilovers are a little harder than stock, but not too much. The handling of the car has improved. I still have to adjust the height for the front coils to make them leveled with the rear. I'll take pics of the car tomorrow when I have time.

SWEET!

Mine arrived yesterday as well, but my car went into the shop at 9am for the GReddy turbo install, so hopefully I'll have 'em on this weekend.

^^^
I second that request. I'm really down to the tein basics or mazdaspeed for coilover options.

I took his car for a short test drive and I was very impressed. The ride is perfect, and I think the handling improved significantly. On tight turns I have to say its the 2nd best car I've felt. 1st being a Boxster S. Tein Basics coilovers are the way to go for a street car. I see no reason to change the dampening unless your going to track the car, because it is set perfectly.

They are exactly 448lb/in in the front, and 336lb/in in the rear. But trust me they felt very soft. They ride slightly harder than stock.

damn wish you guys were closer
to see the difference between my s-tech.
i still think tein gave us a great price for coilover's, even if they are basic.
cant wait for some pixs
p.s tein is very helpful with any questions regarding there suspension
I inquired a few months ago about the difference in my springs now vs the basic and they gave me alot of #'s and info.

what are the main differences between the Tein basics and the more expensive set? I was really looking into getting the basics as well.

With the Tein basics, could cannot adjust the dampeners. It is only ride height adjustable. The tein flex's allow you to adjust the dampeners but you need to have the tein edfc which costs another couple hundred.

flexes comes with top hats as well, so it is a complete replacement coilover. I'm too lazy to look but the fronts might have camber plates as well.
