Pix of my dropped 8!!

Hey all,
Had my Sprint springs installed yesterday!! 2" drop all round! The car rides awesome. No bounce, no rub, no issues. I am blown away with how well she handles and looks!! I just got back from NTB, had her in for a camber adj and alignment. I will post more pics soon.

Thanks Shocka!! I bought them from another forum member. He bought them from www.extrememotorsports.com

I paid about $150 for the springs. Install $250!! Alignment $50. The install was steep. I had them installed by a pro. He has been working on Mazda's for 20+ years. The suspension is NOT easy to do on the 8, it took him approx 5 hrs!!

DarkMaz....thanks!! No rub what-so-ever. Also, I'm not worried about bottoming out. The springs are very stiff. I doubt this will be an issue.

Nice stuff, Irish...Car's looking good. Too many big *** speed bumps where I live so I can't drop mine right now . Do you have to worry about speed bumps or is that not an issue?

Kel...it took this long because we were chatting and distracting ourselves. I think if Don (installer) was alone it would have taken him 2 hours.

Thanks for the compliment!!

i drive around daily like this...well it's my weekend car so you can say i drive around 2-3 days out of the week...no rubbing, no rebounding, but it just takes a while to get used to...you must know how it is to drive around with extreme caution....don't wanna bend them DUBBZ..hehehe

when I installed my Tunabe springs the body drew down pretty tight on my front & rear wheels, but I went in and stiffened them up with shims to give it a firmer ride with minimal spring travel. It takes cornering better now..Its not in the instructions but it works ok

1" Drop with H&R

For you guys measuring different spring kits... I just got H&R springs 2 days ago.

Wheel gap (between top of tire and very bottom of painted body panel)
Front before: 2"
Front After: 3/4"
Rear Before: 1 3/4"
Rear After: 1/2"

My last car sank another 1/4 inch 1-2 weeks after installation of springs.
H&R claim 1" drop. They only have 1 spring type available for the 8.

Yeah. I agree. To be honest I did not feel confident enough to do the install myself.
