Looks pretty good, software wise anyway. MPG is nice and acceleration too. To bad no PC sw other than export. Wonder if the Palm sw w/work with CANScan?

It's also $100 more than the dharrison canscan. I think Harrison's canscan has some sort of API that lets you write your own software if you had some free time.

hate to quote myself, but... the sw for this unit looks superior... the sw is freely downloadable ..... what if it works on the CANScan? .... can the CAN protocol hardware be so different? .... if someone has a Palm and CANScan this could be a real find. Anyone able to try and let us know??

It's highly unlikely the software for one product will work with the hardware of another. Even hardware from the same manufacturer sold by two different software suppliers may not work with the other each other's software. How do I know? I'm currently pretty intimate with writing software for these sorts of devices.

There is more to the software than just graphs... you might want to ask them what sort of sample rates they are getting.
