Thank you for that, saved me buying the magazine today! I'm considering the low power so that review was of interest to me.

Now I've just got to actually see one in the flesh!

Cheers
B.

Many thanks, Jimbobjoe.

Refreshing... Nice straight-forward review - facts, both positive and negative all handled extremely well. Why can't some of the other car mags present reviews in such a neutral manner? Is it just me or do Auto Express reviews seem free of bias?

... still want the hi-power though!

Evil Weavel, don't suppose you saw the letters section in this weeks Autocar ? A pre-orderer complained about the 0 - 60 time, stating its virtually identical to the low power variant and slow than some hot hatches. Autocar's response, was to say that some manufacturers are optimistic with performance figures.

As stated before, if a mag don't like the car, they don't like it ..... simple. And even if deep down inside someone at Autocar does like it, do you think they will now change their minds ?

Hi AnilS. I didn't see the issue you mention. I haven't bought an Autocar out of protest since the 'not-too-good' write-up they gave the RX8! (I'm sure they've noticed )

After a decent test drive in the RX8 I couldn't match the reviewer's comments with my own experience...

Badly positioned gear lever, unable to get a comfortable driving position, body shell flex, shivers through the steering column, muffled steering, ungainly ride height... I just didn't recognise the car from the review! I was prepared to give the reviewer the benefit of the doubt until I had driven the car myself.

Like you say - they just don't like the car - fair enuff... I do :D

Shame I've got to wait so long. (Actually it gives me the chance to pay off more on my current car!)
