Mazda Dealers

Hey Folks!

Been lurking for a few weeks. I'm in the Big Hunt to get the 8! What's up with Mazda dealers? They either: (1) Are ill informed about their product line; or (2) Arrogant as hell about their cars; or (3) Provide shut crappy service, it makes me want to buy a Honda (Good lord, did I say that?). Anyone else having this experience? I'm in Oregon and have dealt with most of the Oregon Dealerships. Sheesh! Can't a guy just not buy a car anymore?!

Thanks,

Yes, I've "pre-ordered" one, but believe it's an allocation, but have NOT received any confirmation and no return call from my sales guy!

Where in Oregon do you live???? Can you jump over the border to one of your three neighboring states and deal with a dealer there.

I had problems with all my dealers in my area, and I had to pick a dealer an 1.5 hours away to get what I wanted.

I live in Eugene. Pretty much smack dab in the middle. Driving to Washington is an option, but I don't know of any good Mazda dealers there or in No. Cal. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

the mazda dealership i went to were willing to cut my toe nails for me to sell this car...they weren't knowledgeable off the bat but they were more than willing to get me any type of information i needed...they had the material, they just didn't study it...furthermore, they even gave me brocuhures to that REv It Up event, saying that i could see an RX-8 there firtst and buy it after i see...they were very helpful and i bought the car becaue a guy just backed out of his deal in the color i wanted

Anyone know of any reputable dealers in the Orange County area? I just moved here from Nor Cal and haven't the slightest clue of how dealers are down here. Thanks all.

Hey Zoom,

Ended up in Tonkin. I think I read you dealt with Herzog. They weren't very helpful either, but said one might, be available in late fall....so if I hurried and made the deposit, I might be able to get one. Nice sales tactic! Sheesh!

that's right. i would have gone to tonkin but i didn't get a good fuzzy feeeling from them when i wanted to put a deposit down last year. they didn't seem to even know there was going to be an rx8. at least at Herzog there is one guy there who is really a car guy and is actually excited about the rx-8.

Thumbs down

I'm living in Portland and went to R.T. earlier to place an order. The New Car Sales Manager said he will put the order and once he got reply/confirmation from Mazda, he will call me immediately and do the paper works. But I still haven't got anything from them yet. Or else I will just go to another dealership. I dun think R.T. is a great dealer, at least to my experience.

Well, I went to R.T. first was because they are the biggest dealer around, and they told me that if I order now (2 weeks ago) I can still pick up the car in early June. (I really doubt that.) Anyway, I'm planning to go check M. Mazda, which is about 7 miles away.
