Detailing Results
I have been reading this forum since I got my 8 in February and I would like to thank everyone for the great discussions about detailing here since I was never into it before.
I just gave my Titanium RX-8 a coat of Meguire's NXT Tech Wax and I swear that the car looks like a mirror. Unbelievable shine. I can't say that it darkened the paint as advertised, but I am more than happy with the result. It was easy on/easy off unlike the coat of Mother's California Gold paste I put on last month. The paste result was nice, but far to much work and nothing even close the to NXT result.
Also, I got the free sample ($5 shipping) of the 303 products and the protectant is awesome. The dash looks great and the tires are beading water like they were waxed.
Thumbs up for the Absorber as well for drying. Not as quick as a leaf-blower....but it will do the trick.

Yes, post pics.
You had to pay shipping for the 303? I didn't. Went to their web site, entered my address, recieved my free sample (no shipping, came in the mail, I think one stamp, 28 cents?), and ran out and bought a bottle immediately. It is the bomb.
What's the absorber? Any links?

I got the Absorber at Pep Boys.
For $5 shipping, you get a whole box of 303 samples. I have not tried them all yet, but the protectant seems to be as good as promised.
My only comment on NXT was that it didn't last long. Its been a month, time to wash and redo it.... A co-worker with an S2000 gets about 6 months from his Zaino. Of course, I put in 2 hours, he puts in a day....
[QUOTE=Nemesis8]Is that one coat? I have a Titanium also with NXT, but yours looks better for some reason. Now you challenged me to get out and do it again!
The picture of my hood is with one coat of Mothers California Gold paste (about 4 weeks old) and one coat of NXT. I am going to put on one more coat of NXT when I get a change since I heard that the second coat really brings out the shine. I don't see how my car can get any shinier though. :D
Also, after it rains I let the car dry naturally in the garage and it dries with hard water spots. There is a little dust where some drops were, but it wipes clean with a cloth and a few squirts of detail spray.

I took my wheels off and put a coat of NXT on the wheels, inside and out. HUGE improvement in brake dust adherance...as in very little. a month later and they are just starting to look a little dirty.

The NXT stuff is nice, but I will agree it doesn't last very long at all. I've used both NXT and Zaino. While I prefer Zaino if I've got the time (and money) to spend. I've used NXT recently with pretty good results. Just gotta apply a LOT more often (doesn't take long though).
303 protectant is good stuff ... I add my opinion to that one as well.
Haven't tried the NXT on the wheels before. Will try it next time. Just been using Sonus Gel, and while it cleans real fast, it doesn't help with the dust after the fact.

I cleaned mine last weekend and applied NXT. Shine was great. I also got some NXT stuff in a spray bottle, planning to use it on the interior. Didn't get to the interior, but after I cleaned the wheels I sprayed it on them. Dust still sticks to the wheel, but it wipes off with a paper towel.
