Ppl with MS kit.

Ok to my understanding the MS rear needs chopping of the bottom plastic OEM bumper piece...

but in this picture its clear that the piece is removable?

So my question is.... is it possible for the MS rear to be installed with that plastic piece pulled off?

The reason im asking is because the chopping of the plastic piece is keeping me away from a MS kit.... but if it can be installed without wasting the stock bumper i will go for it...

all inputs welcomed.

Thanks

ask aerowerks or cortc

I'm sure if it could be just removed and not cut NO ONE would cut it

so it must have to be cut to fit right

the outer rings around the exhaust snap off but there is cutting involved to fit the piece, your picture the rear end was cut alot more tha what is needed to fit the MS kit.

Why cutting... ? I don't understand.

There are 3 bolts to OEM spoiler and it is glued in around it. Yes it has to be removed - the glue nad the bolts.

The area left can be covered with the bottom part of the MS wing.

MS wing only use 2 bolts.

I am not sure if I answer your question but it is possible to change back from MS kit to OEM spoiler but the middle part where the MS wing attached need to be repolished.

You do need to cut...

the bumper and bottom piece (black part) are one solid piece. There is no way around just "removing" it. You have to cut it off. No way around it. And the MS kit bolts on using extensions to the factory rear bumper supports on the bottom of the car. Sorry if this is bad news for you but it's not that bad! The car looks great with the kit on. I don't know about the aeroworks kit but the Authentic MS kit uses these.

The MS underspoiler also needs the top of the bottom piece to "hang" on the rear.. if this was removed, there would be nothing holding it up... thus hacking off the bottom would be necessary

From my understanding, all the MS kits out there need the cutting. Really sad that it does but like Hisakata mentioned, it's one solid piece.

I am positive that if there was some way around it, no one would cut it.
