Hello All

New member here. I do not own a RX-8, but I am planning on doing a Renesis swap into my 1972 Datsun 510.
I am currently on Ratsun.com but there is not a lot of information on there about any rotary swaps. Maybe one guy has done it.
Right now I am in the planning stages. I am looking at the 6 Port with 6 Speed Transmission from a low mileage JDM import (2004-2008).

I look forward to picking your brains.

cool project. be sure to get a rotary specific compression test on any used engine or be ready to rebuild it.

Very cool car! Welcome to the forum! The largest hurdle the guys on rx7club have faced when installing the 6 port engine is actuation of the port tumblers that operate the 5th and 6th ports. Most guys have been using the 4 port engine, as its much simpler and provides plenty of power for our 1st gen RX-7's. Its what I'm considering doing in my 84 GSL-SE restoration. I already have the 4 port engine, its just waiting for something to go in.
