Hey all, I'm looking at an RX8 that the owner says starts hot and cold with no issues, 40,000 km. into a rebuild ( 160k total) and always premixed. Car was used as a daily but not for short trips.

Any ideas on what it could be? Easy fix or giant red flag?

 

Do you know where its leaking oil from? Is it a seep or is it forming a heavy drip?

 

If what you say is true and it only leaks above 5k rpm, which I'm not sure how you would even prove that, than it seems pressure related. Rear main seal perhaps? You have no information on where the leak is coming from so who knows.
