Hi. My clutch was replaced 4 years ago. It is starting to slip when shifting gears. Is the clutch supposed to slip a little bit when just changing into gear?

What do you mean by slip?
Does the clutch disengage with just a touch of the pedal, or do you find rpms going up without corresponding change in speed while in gear?

 

The clutch is engaged, it's just slipping a bit while engaged. The rpms go up higher than usual.

 

What I should say, is that the RPMs are going up with just a little foot pressure to the gas. It's not moving well under what were normal conditions. Could it be the ECU?

So rpm's go up but speed doesn't? Yeah that sounds like a slipping clutch.
It's not your ECU.

Anyone? It takes about 7000rpms in first gear just to get it to move. If you ride it in 2nd, you can tell its reving high but not moving that fast. Thanks,

Yep so that means your engine isn't connected to the wheels. Time for a new clutch.

Does anyone know what the problem is? I tried changing the bleeder screw to the oem one, but it didn't help. I have a speed bleeder in there now. It could be the clutch, but it was just replaced 4 years ago.

I'm not sure how to say this another way. Your clutch is dead. It should be replaced.

 

Sorry, I'm not trying to be rude. My clutch was replaced about 4 years ago. I doubt it's the clutch, or the flywheel because that was replaced too. I did try adjusting the pedal. I am going to try and run it when it is not dark (don't want to wake up the neighbors). That's all I can think of it being. I appreciate your help, there Loki

 

I gave up trying to bleed my slave cylinder.
I also burned up my clutch driving it that way.
I paid $2400 to get it fixed, without a new flywheel.
