Hi all

I bought my 2004 RX8 in 2012 with 7800 miles, single owner, full records. Daily drove it in Minnesota for five years, and took care of it. Stored it for winters for a few more years, and it’s been my weekend car since here in the south east.

Had an ignition coil fail a few years ago and replaced them with BHRs. They’ve run great but I know I’m not taking full advantage of them.

I plan to upgrade to an AEM intake, and I’m researching tuning options …

I want to understand the tune before I apply it, and I want to focus on just the specific changes I’ve made.

I realize I’m very late to the party, but I’m hoping someone might be willing to teach me and help me.

I crossed 60k miles this year, and did the full tune up - transmission oil, differential oil, coolant flush, and both O2 sensors, as well as an upgraded coolant expansion tank. My overall goals are longevity, reliability, cooling improvement, and being able to maintain it myself.

I don't tune or follow the tuning threads, and Idk if you've read any, but there are a lot of tuning threads that could help you with anecdotal info.
