Car alarm not turning on with remote

Hi everyone. My car alarm won’t turn on with remote. Remote batteries are fine, but all buttons don’t work on car. 6 months ago they used to. No lights flash, no horn, no alarm. Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks,

Chad

Is there a trunk, door or hood open sensor stuck open? I've had that a couple of times (meaning, the trunk was not locked, but appeared closed from the outside).
If it tries to unlock, but not lock, it's probably that.

If it does nothing at all, you might try reprogramming the remote to the car again.

The part of the video where the door locks reset works fine but I can’t reprogram my key remote. Fresh batteries in both remotes. Unsure here.

The remote reprogramming didn’t work. Is there a fuse somewhere that I don’t know about that could be blown. Again both remotes have fresh batteries and won’t turn the alarm on. Thanks,

Chad

There are 2 fuses boxes, one under the hood and one in the drivers side door sill kind of under the dash. Check them out, but I'm not sure there's a fuse specific to the alarm.

Perplexed

I bought my wife an rx8 as a project a year and a half ago. Running perfectly, title issue and paint issues. Been running it around the driveway regularly since the. Drove it into the yard to wash it and the security system locked it up. Went to reset the security today and it had reset itself, but now no power to part of the systems and wouldn't start. I raise the hood and start checking fuses. All of them are good, but something looks off, so I go look at my rx8s fuse box. It takes a few minutes, but then I see the difference. The main 120 amp fuse isn't in my wife's car and judging by the way the lugs look, it has never been in her car. How the hell have I driven the thing for a year and a half without the main fuse in the vehicle. I drove it to right where it is sitting now just the other day. I am at a total loss to explain this. There is no way it should have ran without the fuse, but it did, and now it doesn't. Somebody please explain this one. This is an honest request, no lies, I'm completely lost.

Just as a heads up my car alarm is still broken and did replace some relays, can’t find a fuse for alarm. As far as the main fuse not too sure. I can’t see how number one it wasn’t included, and number two, it’s been driving fine. Anyways I will check the sensors and go from there. Good luck with your car man. Have had mine for almost 11 years now.
