Factory alarm was taken out and won’t start please help

Ok so I got an amazing deal on a 2004 RX8 for my woman but the kid the sold it to me pulled the factory alarm out and was never really about to get it started and he had the key get burned in a fire I need help or could Hi possibly try installing an aftermarket alarm per se a viper in hopes that that would fix said issue that the vehicle is having because it doesn’t have the factory alarm installed in it anymore any help would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance

You can't remove the factory antitheft, it's in the ECU. Alarm and immobilizer, which is probably why it won't start.

What exactly did he remove?

The key has a chip, it needs to be programmed to the car. Fire probably doesn't help.

There is no non-chip key option here, so you may as well go to Mazda. You can get blank Mazda keys on ebay cheaper than at the dealer, may as well get a few. You can get the later switchblade style key that came after 2004. I think it's 2005-2007. After that they changed again to credit card style key which won't work, I believe.

Can you call him and get more info on what was removed? It might save many headaches.
