Stuck in limp mode... please help!

Hi .. thanks in advance to everyone that posts on this site.Without the wealth of info these forums provide owning an rx8 would be so much harder and more expensive! .. my problem.. i have a 2004 rx8 that is currently stuck in limp mode ,when the problem first started was upon start up it would start up straight into limp mode ie. Revs at approx 2500 no throttle responce apart from a small rise in revs to 3000, i could fix this by doing the brake stomp reset wich lasted a few drives and worked 3 or 4 times, but that has no effect now. I have a bluetooth obd reader and torque app and have no codes apart from p 2106 'throttle actuator conrol system-forced limited power" ,which i believe is just telling me its in limp mode. I have searched the forums and most say its the omp so i have replaced that and also tried another throttle body with no luck. I have also tried the drive by wire reset (accel pedal down for 5 seconds then ign off 2mins then start car) . One thing which i think might be a clue to someone is that when i clear the error code it comes straight back in 4 seconds before i can even start the car! So it must be something the pcm looks at early on? Is it possible to narrow down where the problem is using the info from the torque app ? Im not sure what to look at/for and some of it is over my head
!Any info and help on where or what i could look at next would be greatly appreciated !
i dont mind a challenge but this problem is starting to wear thin,
thanks in advance

It is most likely something in the DBW system. I would start by looking at the wiring for the throttle body. There have been a number of people with bad connections to the throttle body that have resulted in problems. Basically you need to test the wiring from the pcm to the TB and possibly the pedal....

Limp mode fixed

Im glad to say i finally found the reason it was stuck in limp mode, turns outit was simply a bad relay . It was the ETV relay which i believe is for the drive by wire. So i hope this helps others and saves them from changing omps and throttle bodys etc ect.
