lots of nice posts about how to change out your shift boot with a new one (for the hard of searching, try https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-...change-139430/) but none explain how to actually make your own. my MIL's shift boot was pretty worn out, so i opted to make a custom one for her birthday. the pictures i took and uploaded were pretty large, so i put the entire set plus instructions over to imgur:

i used vinyl coated fabric for this project, but leatherette or actual leather could work too.
