Rear o2 sensor delete

Hi,
I've not found a clear answer to my question.
Knowing that :
  1. I read the rear 02 sensor is to confirm the front one readings.
  2. I already am decat with cel deletion via MazdaEdit.
I would like to delete the rear o2 sensor to install at the same place the o2 sensor for a Stack ST3402 Wideband Lambda Air-Fuel Ratio Display.

Is that possible without any side effect or not?

Thank you in advance

Best regards

I'm a bit disappointed : 151 views and no answer.
It is a stupid question or no one in the rx8 world is able to give an advise?

Bye

That is no problem at all vcoil . You might get a CEL which can be deleted via a flash tune if it concerns you .

The front sensor is wideband while the rear isn't, so I'm not sure the "reading rear to confirm front" with the stock sensor is meaningful. I'm not sure why you need a second wideband, but it'll work.

Because I need to have lambda alarms when racing...I have had problems (too lean) because of the fuel pump...that I changed.
MazdaEdit read the information but I cannot race with a pc onboard.
I was looking for something able to do that via OBDII, PLX for instance, but the obdII model is out of stock and I'm not sure it is able to do that because they sell an AFR module...
Any idea?

Where do you installed it?
Drilled a new hole in the collectors or placed it at the place of the narrow bad o2? (the second one seems to me too far away).

Bye

my setup is custom ...but no reason not to put it where the existing 2nd o2 sensor is .

I also have an aftermarket Wideband in the bung on my midpipe (for an AEM UEGO dash mounted gauge). Readings are slightly different than the stock wideband on the manifold but the difference is minuscule. Flash tuned the CEL away.
