Mazda Rx8 ABS issues.

So I been checking this forum for a while Found a good solution for my RX8.

Right now I have a problem With my abs system. I Tried the possible solutions on this post but did not work https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tro...taying-202843/.

My OBD reader is showing a code u0121 which is Lost Communication With Electronic Brake Control Module.

This abs issue is making me lose Speedometer and odometer as well my Assisted steering CEL pooping up and making my steering wheel a bit stiff and able to turn. And sometimes Everything returns to normal (No Abs light, I recover speedometer plus odometer and steering wheel is very smooth)

So this is my last resort I'm planing on changing the Control module but i Have a question.

So If i decide to change my module are there any other steps i need to take before removing it and placing another module in there. (I was reading that before doing so I need to reprogram with a VCM-2) how true is this
Can I just go ahead and change it or Do i need to take new CM(of course not new But a Used CM) to To Mazda Stealership so they can change it. last thing I wanna do is let them ripping me off.

Or could the issue lie somewhere else?

The U codes are all CAN bus communications errors

The steering issue is likely the usual harness connection issue with the power steering connectors. I would check that before I did anything else

The other may be a connection issue as well.
I would clean the ABS connectors

You will need a reprogram if you change the module. .but I would do the other stuff first

Not sure if your car has been in salt and slush, you may want to check your grounds first for corrosion.
