So I'm just getting around to putting my baby back together after a clutch job. The TOB was completely demolished and fell into a dozen pieces when I pulled the tranny.

So I'm bolting the driveshaft into the differential, while I was looking at the manual for the torque specs, I realized that I completely forgot whether the nut end of the bolt was on the side closest to the differential, or on the other side facing the front. My mechanics instinct is telling me that it wouldn't matter as long as it's torqued down sufficiently, but I just want to be sure before I do something potentially damaging.

 

As long as it wont hit anything when it spins, itll be fine. No worries.

Check on google for a schematic if you want to be **** about it. My cars in hibernation for the year so i cant go look

 

FWIW the factory orientation is bolt head is on the rear side and the nuts are on the front side.
