I've broken Microsoft Excel

After starting my sort-my-bodged-13B REW-conversion project with the aim of keeping costs to a minimum and a finger-in-the-air budget of less than $2,000 I decided to tot up what I've spent and am committing myself to spending.

Unfortunately, my Excel decided to pack up whilst I was doing this and 2 hours later I cannot sort it out. Excel must be broken as the figure it's giving is some $15,000, which excludes the engine and base car. Admittedly, I've gone a bit overboard on some things such as gauging, but that can't be right, can it?

How do I fix Excel? Or have people really spending that much on a proper 13B REW conversion? We can't be that mad, surely?

$15,000 ... looks about right to me. It's been the reported number for a few of the swaps that have talked about it. One guy said he was $15,000 at the shop, though it was about $3,000 in extras that weren't really necessary, so you might be able to get a bit lower.

People with the sub $5,000 estimates are always ignoring a rather large amount of additional work that needs to be done. They get surprised by it later.

$15k sounds about right.. I'm in the research process of my REW swap. $12-15k seems to be about the minimum if you're doing it yourself. Atleast thats whats I've been tallying up so far as I'm researching all the parts needed and the cost to do it RIGHT.

You'll probably sleep better at night if you don't calculate up all the receipts. I gave up after being 5k deep, whenever that was...

If I recall Force Fed (who Dannobre works with IIRC and goodbox) stated between 15-16k for 400-500HP swap. They do some clean work and retain all functions. But they are in BC Canada

Engine + ECU + turbo alone put you over 5k... Nothing is low budget about engine swaps.
