Is it worth it?

I'm looking to trade in my 07 6s for an 05 rx8 with 80k still waiting on the car fax but the dealer is asking 7980 for it what do yall think ?
The interior is great and so is the exterior with the exception. Of a couple dings here and there

80k miles or kms ? what are the ''couple things here and there'' ? have it inspected carefully first by a reputable mechanic, assuming it's a 80k miles car I think its a bit overpriced unless its damn mint and has few options on it, If you don't mind paying this price and you're in love with the car, try to have a few parts done on her for free, I suggest new oem ignition coils, wires, good brand spark plugs, catalitic converter ''even if it semms good for now'' since they dont last long on our rx8's , that would make your engine happy and might save you money in the future.
Switching for and rx-8 might be a great think for you since its an amazing car and really fun to drive, if thats what you're looking for. Keep looking for deals in your area tho, i think 5-6k range , i saw one for sale in my area just yesterday for 7k with 35k miles on it.

Op,

Get a compression test. Read through the thread I suggested earlier.

Report the test results back.

It is a bit pricey, but if you love it (we all do) and the rotary specific compression test comes back good, then buy it. You won't regret it. That is, so long as you're willing and able to maintain such an exotic automobile. It wants/needs meticulous loving care. You need to pet it every day and whisper soft sweet loving things into its ear just before you floor it and take it to its 9,000+ rev limit, it'll reward you with a grin that'll make your face hurt.

Kind of expensive for an 05,but if it has really high compression scores from the test that you're going to get then it will be worth it. If the test is borderline failing it's a very bad price.
