Audio System

Good day all,

I currently own a 07 GS Rx8 with the bose system.

When I bought the car, I especially had an extra 2k for a good sound system.

I know I'm changing the radio for a
AVH-4000NEX - NEW! - 2-DIN Flagship Multimedia DVD Receiver with 7" WVGA Touchscreen Display | Pioneer of Canada - English

but I wanted to know apart from adding a sub, and amp, should i change anything else. Tweeters maybe?

Thanks a plenty all

* Budget wise I can go over the 2k mark without too much problems*

that's a sexy head unit actually, I've came across alot of pioneer double dins and they all have lived up to their potential IMO.... and really it's all depending on your liking when it comes to sound there's not just one perfect sound, what I think a perfect sound could make your ears bleed or vice versa...

but as head units go that is a good one.. good luck!

Your front door woofers are really low impedance, and all speakers are wired to the BOSE amp under the rear tray, not to the OEM head unit you'll replace.
Front tweeters are actually 4-ohm.
Check the sticky on system specs for the BOSE system.
