Hello this is the first time creating a thread. A little background on the topic. I purchased an esmeril turbo kit online (used) and was missing a few things. One being the valve for a wastegate. Now I've searched for over 4 months for the kind of wastegate or size and can't find anything. The ID of the intake side is 68mm. The ID for the exit side is 47mm. Now for a reference the outer diameter is almost 3.5" on the intake side. Upon viewing tial's spec sheet, nothing comes close to that size. Any help will be so appreciated. Oh, also, I've been unsuccessful in getting any help/ response whatsoever from the people at Esmeril. I'm stuck.

 

The Tial waste gates that came with the Esmeril kit were found to be fakes. Just measure the flanges and find a waste gate that works. I recommend Synapse.

 

I guess the issue I'm having is that nothing seems to exist. The diameter is 3.5 inches which is over an inch bigger than what anyone makes (seemingly). I contacted tial via email to see if they have any clue how to help me. They're also only about an hour drive away too so I can bring it to them so get something the same size.

 

3.5" waste gate flange? You must be mistaken. Can you post pics?

This is the ID at 2.6" the outer was 3.4x with the micro. I just didn't take a picture.

[edit] I don't think the link takes you to the picture but if you click to see the previous one it *should* show the wastegate.

Hope it helps but IMO if I were you, I'd get a different flange for a name brand wastegate.

When I get back home I'm gonna measure the flange on the manifold. I hope I don't have to have it cut off and have it re welded.

Well I was able to get a hold of Chris from esmeril and he told me the waste gate was a generic for HKS. Of the 60mm variety. So I will have to go with that or have a new wg flange welded for a different wg. Thank you for your help!
