Several people on the RX-8 Owners Club UK forum say they're having strake trouble - the laquer is peeling or "bubbling", the finish is beginning to corrode. Has anyone noticed problems with their strakes? Here's the thread:

I don't mean to create strake paranoia in the group (though I suspect that will be the effect). I've just been to the garage for a strake inspection, and mine look fine - so far (cue ominous music).

 

looks like only the brushed ones, I haven't ordered mine yet but will be ordering the polished anyway.

 

No prob with mine.....I would suspect that is the dank weather they experience????

 

I would be so pissed after spending 200 on them
