I went to school this morning and everything was fine on my 8. I got out of class an hour later and tried to crank it up but all i got was a click from the starter and my gauges started going wild. I didn't know what it was but it did it twice before i could get the starter to turn over and crank up the engine. I dont know if its a bad connection somewhere or if it was some sort of odd automatic system reset. Just thought it was kind of weird. Anyone know anything about this?

 

by 'went crazy/wild' do you mean that they all swept the full scale? (ie went from 0 - max and back down) ...

if so that means you have a weak battery. get checked asap to prevent further issues (i.e. potential flooding)

 

Yeah thats what i mean't. My battery has seemed to be a bit weak. ill run by advanced auto parts and get it checked out today.

 

Also check your battery connectors. A bad terminal connection can also do that.

 

Thanks. will do. I'll probably swap in a new one soon anyway. If i let i sit for a while, sometimes it will start kind of weak so ill get it changed some time this week. BTW i found where my antifreeze leak is. The hose from the reservoir has a crack in it by the clamp so i ll fix that up as well.
