Abnormal Clutch Wear

Hey guys,

So pulled my clutch a couple weeks back and noticed some abnormal wear marks on both the pressure plate and flywheel looking to get some insight on.

Its a basically brand new (only 1000 miles of easy driving) ACT stage 1 clutch, now i didnt notice any driving problems with it every now and again i could faintly smell it but that was assumably driving error as i was not yet used to it compared to stock anyways. Thoughts it just to me seems to worn to have only 1000 miles of basically brake in miles on it. It almost looks like there is a high spot on the pressure plate and flywheel

Tried earlier but the files wouldnt upload, here's front and back of disk.
These are all ACT parts

I did no hard launching and the pedal is properly adjusted and clutch line is bleed, the only thing i may have contributed is when it was first installed 1st gear was a lot less forgiving took me about a week to get used to it after that no problems

I don't think it looks too bad, but if it continues to wear out at a faster rate then I would be worried.

Pardon my ignorance, but isn't the clutch supposed to have uneven wear until it breaks in? They aren't manufactured completely flat, which is why you take it easy on them until they are broken in, right?

I'm not sure if that's true or not...

Before I put my lw flywheel I had a new oem flywheel with my reman. I I only put about 200 miles or less on it before it got pulled out. Already it had some marks on it with light highway and city use. So for 1k miles on it, I don't think it's too bad.

maybe this can be off some help to some. It explains it better than I can.

:

One hint--when ever you remove the flywheel--check the engine bolts torque....

Im not worried about the disk im more concerned about the burn marks on the flywheel and pressure plate that seem to happen in certain spots only. it shows uneven wear characteristics im worried that those surfaces are not even and have high spots

it's the disc surface that is uneven as demonstrated in the video, or so it appears in the photos

the flywheel is ACT too?

Yes, flywheel is ACT Prolight. I'm not worried about the disk
