Oil Cooler Line Quick Disconnects? Helpppp:l

Okay guys, I've got a new set of oil cooler cooler lines since mine are butchered and destroyed. But, anyway, I can't seem to understand how the "quick odisconnects" function. At this point I'm about tempted to just cut the old one's out, then unbolt the fitting at the block, since there's only one left to remove, back by the oil filter housing.
I'd appreciate any help anyone could give me..I don't think the fact that the current one's are rusted to **** are helping my case :l
Thanks for your help in advance.
Nick

there is a clip holding the two half's together. remove that clip by sliding a flat object through the gap in it and it comes right out, then you can seperate the two lines.

Thanks a lot for the reply. The crazy amount of rust had covered up the clip. I've got her all wrapped up.

Oh so you've now got dual coolers on an auto?
Cool. Never really thought about that.
I spent nearly an hour looking for a clip I dropped in the driveway tonight.
Though, I have to say, it's nice not having lines rusted and leaking like crazy. Plus, they're shiny...hahahaha.

I'm having the same issue. Can you be more specific on how to remove the clips?

I bought the racing beat lines to replace my stock set and I really just want to drive the car since I haven't since last October. It's finally warming up here so any help as soon as possible would be awesome.

The clip is a wire that is shaped like a "C" ...so find the flat side....and pry it out...the 2 ends will pop out of the groove and then you can separate the disconnect. Make sure you are careful with the o-ring ...you don't want to loose it
