What is wrong with my car (slow but not low compression?)

So I have searched and searched on here and figured it was time to just make a thread. My car started to feel noticeably slower about 2 weeks ago, 0-60 in an amazing 11seconds, so since I hadent changed the spark plugs I did that. I did half my self but the other 2 were seized so I gave it to a local dealership to finish the job. I did my coils about 4months ago. I always use premium gas. I rev the car above 6k everyday. ( I have the **** box 4sp.... Flame suit on) I never over rev the engine when it's cold. I just had my cat checked and its not clogged. So after all this when it felt slow I figured, gotta be compression right? Wrong! Dealership says that it's "a little bit low but not enough to cause lack of power" ( I asked and the guy didn't have psi numbers to give me over the phone)

So long post short, anyone have ideas of what is wrong with my car. I have a feeling the dealership is going to try and make up something expensive that's not under warrenty so I want to have some ideas of what they should come back to me with.

If you paid for a compression test and they didn't give you numbers, make them do it again and again until they give you a print out with the numbers @ 250 rpm.

Sounds like they're trying to skate out on a warranty replacement to me.

I asked them to check the air filter when they checked the CAT (no idea if they actually did it), I'll have to go in and see what the numbers were, and ask about the filter agian. I really hope they are not trying to screw me, they already said if anything is going to be over $100 dollars they would call me and clear it. however they are running what sounds like alot of tests without asking me if it is ok. they just call and say they've done it with no mention that it'll cost me anything more. if I get a bill for more then 99.99 I'm not going to pay it.

Unfortunately it should be closer to 8.5-9 (at least thats what it was when I first got it), or if that was a joke the laughter helps with the crying.

+1 on input provided by fustupnz. Anything else is pure speculation until they give you numbers on all three rotor faces for both rotors and the cranking RPM's that those figures were pulled at.

today things got a little bit better, dealer gave me comp results 6.5kpa @250, im assuming that means 650, not actually 6.5. they think it's the baro sensor but say they cant "duplicate" low power (makes no sense car is still unnaturally slow). they blew me off when I suggested the air filter or the fuel filter. anyone got ideas?

6.5 @ 250 looks low to me, but maybe they use a different graph?

Lifesaver, I'm going to bring this in to them the next chance I get. it does look like minimum at 250 is 6.7 or so not 6.5.

Definitely get more details on how the CAT was "checked". Did they drop the CAT and actually look inside, or (typically) just see there were no codes about the CAT? Clogged CATs don't necessarily give a code and can definitely cause the problem you're experiencing. If you can, talk directly with the tech that supposedly checked it, have him tell you himself, not a filtered story from the service writer.
