I generally like the build of the interior of my '11 R3, but does anyone know of
an accessory or aftermarket trim piece for the black plastic around the
shifter - the area from the ashtray/lighter to the center armrest- does someone make something with some type of stitching or leather?
or I know the new JDM Spirit R has piano-black trim around this area, any idea
where to get this here in the US?

The JDM Spirit R has not started production yet, so the piano black side of console bits are not available anywhere, I really don't think you will see them anywhere outside of Japan.

Frankly, I prefer the silver as a contrast...they all scratch like rubbish, as you know piano black marks even more so.

I know of no aftermarket in the areas (console) you are talking about.
