RX8 console in 92 Z28
I thought that some of you guys on here would be interested in seeing my 25th Anniversary 1992 Z28 project... I'm installing a completely new interior in it, including an RX8 console. Here's the link: http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/bo...ew-my-new.html
Also, do you guys know if have any different colored side trim or console lids available yet in the U.S.? Thanks, Josh.

The side trim is either silver or gloss black (if it's a Shinka). No other colors are available.
For the console lids, yes there are different colors available. Black, chaparral (brown) and red, you can buy these separately (like from Mazdaparts or the dealer), but they are not cheap. Also, there are the interior colors for the various Shinka packages, but I don't think you can get those separately, at least I haven't seen them being offered yet.
Interesting idea with the center console in the Camaro - looks good.

haha. Thats cool.
On the other hand, the center console is one of the weakest points in the RX-8 interior. The flip up door is weak and the console itself doesn't feel strong.

Good idea, I'd like to see the final result.
In your photos there seems to be a gap between the tunnel hump and the console...
How will you fill this in?
Did you have to relocate your Parking Brake?
How are you going to attach it to your dash?
Good Luck with your project.
