Interior Console Strips

My interior console strips are getting a little scratched (either side of the center console). Has anybody thought about getting them coated with some sort of metal coating?? , and getting them plastic coated to stop them getting scratched again? :D This must be a cheaper (and more permanent) option compared to buying replacement Mazda ones... (BTW - I don't fancy the carbon Mazdaspeed ones ).

Thanks.

Just get them repainted.

Then, put a lot of clear coats on.

Yeah, it sounds like you need some sort of a polyurethane coating put on them. Kind of like the coating that is put on aluminum dash kits. I don't know where you would find the stuff, but that would help prevent the scratching.
