*Was driving when suddenly the car lost power.* Put car in neutral, engine was revving fine.* When in drive, the car will not climb the hill when I put it in drive, no power, car still will not climb the*hill.* Engine warning light came on.* Pulled aside switched off for about 5 mins, started back the car and was working fine, however engine*warning light remained on.* Drove the car to the mechanic and he did a diagnostic test.* The results were: *pressure control celenoil.* The mechanic gave the code as P0960.* After leaving the car it went into safe mode.* The*gear changed on the dashboard from 1 to 4 disappeared - engine light atilight and skidlight came on.* Drove the car back to the mechanic* as if in fourth gear with no power whatsoever

 

do you have an automatic transmission?

 

oh of course you do you wrote the indicator went missing from the dash.

yeah anyway its a solenoid problem, either the wire to it is bad or the solenoid is bad or the valve the solenoid moves is stuck.. i dont have an auto tranny book. off to a transmission shop or the dealer you go.

its an automatic transmission. nothing to do with "these engines"
