Hello everyone,

I wanted to share a cool session on a french track with a friend who has a 231 with hymee map, msd coils and orc 309 clutch,

versus,

my 192 sp model stock map, exedy s1 clutch and knight sports 4.77 but with 19 wheels.

Intense driving, especially at the end, see by yourself, like english people told me : we are full on , hope you like our "french driving" :

I didn't watch it with any sound yet, but looks pretty cool. Nice driving.

 

Well everyone has their own "lines" but judging from this video yours appear to be better than your friends lol.

Side note and random question. Would you take a still picture of how you mounted your video camera during this video?

i tried to put music to make the video abit more active, but i left of course the environmental sound to enjoy engine reving

to answer abit everybody :

- the camera is fixed with a custom steel bar fixed on the rotors/holes of the seats,

- now concerning the Knight Sports 4.77 final gear ratio, yes it is worth it if you can pay not to much to mount it in a garage or by a friend, because it is quite some work to do it properly, but yes the result is as good, better than putting a sport flywheel.

- it is much appreciated on 192 4 port SP models 5 gear like my car because the standard final gear ratio is much too long on that version, now it is abit more reactive when i pass 4th gear, and on 231 HP 6 gear model, it will suit also great.

too bad for me i have 19 wheels at the moment, it so i lose all the performance gains i could have with the 4.77 and S1 clutch kit.

oh and by the way, the best ever mod to make for a rx8, in terms of reliability and performance is to change de ignition coils which are very bad, alot of friends go for MSD ignition setup and it really changes in good the way the engine reacts : more torque, smoother, agressive at high revs etc...
