BC RX8 Prices????

Hey, I am new here and I am just in the process of shopping for a new car. The RX8 is on the top of my list. I am looking into trading in my 03 RSX Type S. I was just wondering what the best price you all got for the car was as well as the interest rate and how much you pay for insurance. I am just trying to calculate whether or not this car is affordable for me or if I should just stay with what I have. Thanks in advance.

Just out of curiousity, how much you are paying for insurance on your Type-S ? (and what age group you are in ?)

I beleive I have a 43% discount and have been driving for more then 10 years. I am 29yrs old. This translates into me paying $170 a month. That is half private and half ICBC. I don't know if that helps or not. I just dropped into an insurance office and they gave me a quote, maybe try that.

I leased my 8 , GS model, didn't want the black and brown interior in my black car. Just a note I love the cloth interior, no slipping at all and hugs snuck. I pay 530/month with 5000 down. Did this to save a little more cash for extras and so I can eat.

Many of us bought early, after waiting months for the car to be available - pretty much all of us who took delivery in July, August, or September paid full MSRP, I'd bet. Beyond that, I have no idea what people are paying now, but supply is still not great as far as I know, so the price will be closer to retail than invoice if I had to guess!

Regards,
Gordon

If you want a quote go to mazda.ca they have a calculator, work with the numbers there. Then take it to the dealer and work some magic.

It was 530 w/tax..... 8.5% i think!

Irrelevant, but......

Don't live in BC and paid 'list'.

My only advice is - get the GT pack. It's great value, for, I think $2750, you get full coloured leather, the Bose, the stability control, and the xenon lights. Those lights are incredible! I only wanted the hi-power engine, and the LSD, but when I read what the GT pack offered, and how much it was, I was SOLD.

You will be seriously pissed when you see a GT if you miss out....

Side note, I pay $830/yr for my insurance, so you can probably work my age out from that!

Yah, I am going to get the GT package for sure if I decide upon a RX8. 830/ yr for insurance WHOA that's low, I pay that in less than 4 months. Any more recent purchasers have any comments?

Ontario Pricing

Hi: I just joined the "club" literally- picking up my new Black RX8 tomorrow. My research led to pretty much MSRP in Toronto and area. Traded in my 02 Miata. Nobody really came down in price and I wanted the Black one.

Have already added the Rotary inserts on the front and back grilles. IF this is anything like the accessory addiction I have for my bike -- a Honda VTX(also black) I am going to have to keep working forever...

PS: too bad we have to put the licence plate on the front grille.

PPS: I am already hooked on this forum. Great information. I have to learn to be patient with the car warm up process though, if I have read all these posts correctly about the flooding "issue".
